Caring for Your Quilt
Storage of quilts: the best place for a quilt is on a bed being loved but if it is necessary to store it, fold into thirds lengthways and then fold or roll to desired size. Place in old pillowcase not plastic. Take out and refold at least once a year to avoid permanent creases.
Cleaning a quilt: Your new quilt can be machine washed and dried. Use cold water and low sudsing soap in the washing machine and dry on cool or gentle setting. Never hang a quilt that is soaking wet. The weight may cause stitches to break.
Wall hangings with a lot of embellishments-bells, tinsel, fabric such as leather or fur should not be washed. A gentle vacuuming on the back will remove dust. Spot clean if necessary.
